Sensitization Workshops
The legal changes occurring in society have to be accompanied by behavioral changes for the translation into reality. The issues related to animals need constant addressal due to their vulnerability. Thus, the ALC conducts sensitization workshops to create awareness and compassion for animals for maximum members of society.
- A workshop was organized for the NALSAR staff members on the subject of human-animal interaction in collaboration with Blue Cross on October 10, 2018.
- For the Public Prosecutors and Judicial Officers of Hubli Dharwad to develop knowledge on Animal Protection Laws of on January 27 and 28, 2019.
- Sensitization Workshop on Animal Welfare Laws to the Assam Judicial Academy and Public Prosecutors in February 2019
- For Judicial Officers for the State of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was conducted between January 29 and 30th, 2019.
- The Society for Non-Human Persons, NLSIU and the Animal Law Centre, NALSAR. A 10-part Animal Welfare Webinar Series was held between Feb – May 2021. The following resource persons addressed the sessions: Shreya Paropkari, Sumanth Bindumadhav, Mahesh Kumar (IFS), Steven Wise, Sonia Shad, Gauri Maulekhi and Jayasimha Nuggehalli.
- Animal Law Centre organized a sensitization workshop funded by “The Pollination Project” at Panchkula to train SPCB officials of the State of Haryana in December 2022.
- TSPCB Sensitization Workshop on Environmental Regulation of Animal Agricultural Industries (To be held on 22nd April, 2023)
